We planted the krishna tulasi and rama tulasi separately in 2 pots about 3 months ago and nothing yet. I don't know if this requires a heat lamp in the pacific northwest but even on our warmest spring days when all my other plants and flowers have bloomed, I was waiting expectantly to see the tiny shoots for these plants so I could start including this in daily worship. Its too bad. I cannot vouch for the quality of these seeds. IF anyone has any recommendations, I'm all ears.

I only wanted one Tulasi plant, so I planted just one tiny seed. I planted the seed at the proper depth, in high-quality soil (I used Miracle Grow potting soil). I kept the soil moist and kept the pot in direct sunlight as much as I could. About three weeks later, a seedling appeared. This is in northern Indiana in the month of May.

I live in Yelm, WA and my seeds sprouted right away when set near a sunny window, and given daily watering. I have noticed the quirky nature of tulasi itself. The climate here in Washington is probably a bit cold, so I plan to keep these plants inside during the winter.
