I did have enough wire with the start up kit (fenced in approximately an acre) but will save the accessory kit in case I ever move or need to replace the existing wire. I am very satisfied with this containment system and wish I went through the trouble to put it in years ago. Both of my lab mix male dogs (1 year old and 10 year old) were trained in just 3 days after installation. I live in the country and the dogs were starting to bark and chase after the bikers, joggers and most recently the neighbors this system totally put a stop to all of their attitude and now they just bark a bark of greetings from behind their invisible fence.
