As it is, the tool works pretty well in loose dirt but leaves something to be desired in harder soil areas, particularly if the vegetation you're trying to get rid of is thick at all. It is my favorite tool of choice! It's a hoe, and fantastic weeder (gets 'em at the roots). I'm rebuying one because it literally wore out.
